Android Notification Panel Removed in Android 10

2020-11-29 Thread Justin McAfee
It appears that myself and others have noticed that Android 10 has removed the VPN status and connection details from the top-down notifications UI. If a VPN is active, the Key icon appears, but pulling down the Notifications bar shows nothing. This used to be a quick and easy way to verify WG co

wireguard on multi user windows ?

2020-11-29 Thread Henning Ryll
Hello, I'm looking for a (more or less) secure solution of installing and running wireguard. In our family we have only one notebook running win10/64. Since this is the only device with internet access it has to be reliable as possible. So we are running 4 accounts. admin, father, mother, son.

Hey Jason, Won't drag this already long and confusing thread out. Not challenging the current implementation, just the notion that any other suggestion is a dead end and the topic is closed. I will continue to use wg daily and now add in the non-admin elements to test those out too. Appreciate th

Hi Jason, I have been following the wider thread and maybe I misunderstood but believe the solution requires some registry tweaks and membership to the Network Operators Group, along with Windows Home requiring the creation of a group not officially supported on that platform. Correct or not? It

Interesting thread to follow. My larger concern here is that without an officially provided method to run wg as non-admin on supported Windows platforms the following may happen 1) Limited proliferation of wg in the huge corporate/SME space, or similar cases where end-users are not admin and don'
