see with these municipalities going have to realize that WISP ARE NOT Cell
Phone companies and are NOT going to pay 2500+ per month for space on there
water towers. I ran into that with my village what they did was call an other
village/city that is 8 miles way from the village and the city
Some municipalities work very well on rent. I have at least six whose rent
totals three figures. Others want $2,500/month+ each... because that's what
AT&T or Verizon paid.

I think $500 - $550/month is the minimum they'll do. That said, for a national
company, that's very good.

I haven’t found an area on Verizon where it won’t roam yet. The sprint coverage
around rural NY is spotty at best off the interstate corridors but Verizon
Coverage is strong, roams just fine with both data and voice. If you search the

At their presentation they mentioned having lower rent the first year, then

mentioning rent rates much lower than the typical cellular rates quoted in
years past. You need to get in touch with the WISP program director a

when you say they " do graduated rent increase" what do you mean by that?
because alot of times its cheaper to rent space from village on there water

Ahh I did a search. You can roam onto verizon towers which sprint has
roaming agreements on. This wouldn't be the entire network though. Probably
just in small towns where verizon already has a network and sprint didn't
think it was worth building in (low usage areas)

Roam onto verizon but your main network is sprint? Are you positive about
that? Seems unlikely.

I have been a beta tester from the early days as well. Great product and it
does roam on to the Verizon network when you don’t have Sprint coverage. The
rest of my Verizon phones will be moving to Republic when the contracts are up.

That is a deal in that area the local home owners have a lot of say and
would not let more tower be built.

Prices were very depended on how "popular" the tower was. So a tower in the
sticks could be cheaper. I think those are the ones they are trying to get
people on and do the special on mostly.

They do specials on some towers for less. Of course they have very specific
requirements for climbing, mounting and shelters and power.
