Switches and GigE SFP's are dirt cheap now, and for the distance, it's not

reason to buy a hardware based router, other than ease of use.
It's like comparing an Alvarion B100 to an ALU 6ghz 200mbit full duplex hop.
Both fine solutions, but not to the same problem.

This is really easy to fix. Simply set up a catchall for the virtual domain
that pipes it to /dev/null.
This will throw away all email to nonexistant users.
