We started with 3 hour lease times, had pool issues, then tweaked a few times
and ended up at 20min lease times.
We've been running like that for over a year now.
You may have to experiment a bit to find what lease time works best for your
network

What do you guys use for DHCP lease times on your wireless networks (external
DHCP server)?
We have an issue were our DHCP server (Cisco) reports subnets almost full,
however, the Aruba Controller shows plenty IPs available. I think the issue
might be related with devices getting on the network
At Emory, we've been using 1 hour lease times for our wireless subnets for 5
years. This has worked well for us over the years. As wireless gained
popularity (and massive amounts of users/devices), we moved to private IP
addresses to handle the load. We are still using the 1 hour lease time f
We are using SafeConnect to keep the computers off. It seems to be working
well so far, but we have had a few issues with Wii's that don't have the
Internet Channel.
We just started the gaming network this year and we will most likely

I get an association failed on the Palm. I’ve imported the full certificate
chain from our IAS/Radius server.
I wonder if it’s because we’re still using 802.1x WEP rather than WPA. There
don’t seem to be many configuration options that I can find on the Palm.

HI Mearl,
We have it working - I use a Palm Pre myself – WPA2-ENT
I am on 1.4.5 it worked fine on 1.4.X
Also, we had to fingerprint the device/WebOS with Impulse (use that for our
NAC).

Hi Angela,
Thanks for the information. On your wireless gaming network, have you had good
luck with SafeConnect properly identifying the various consoles while keeping
users out? Also- how do you refresh the PSK value occasionally?

Anyone out there have any experience connection a Palm Pre Plus using 802.1x to
your wireless networks?
It’ll connect to WPA personal, but not to our 802.1x using WEP.
WebOS version is 1.4.1.1

Lee,
We were able to set up our users successfully on our gaming network
(WPA2-PSK) with an Aruba wireless system. SafeConnect is on that network
but the phones are identified as Media and are working just fine. I don't
know if that helps at all.

Hi All,
Is anyone out there using 7.0.98.0 on their WiSMs and has the "DHCP
required" setting enabled?
...We are having a problem:
* The DHCP required functionality works as expected upon initial connection.
* If the client roams between APs using pre-emptive caching (pmk-cache),
