going back to an on-prem solution is something that I am not in favor of

Yes, we have seen it using Mist APs (AP43) specifically. When the drivers
are updated on the PC, then the users have been able to login.
We have seen this issue mainly on Lenovo computers. The driver had to be
downloaded from the manufacturer of the Wi-Fi chip. Not from Microsoft.

We recently joined eduroam and we have Packetfence 9.3.0 as our Radius
server. Has anyone set up Packetfence and connect it with eduroam?
We followed all of the instructions and still, we are not able to properly
authenticate.
