We have that too, with 1231's. They're in use, and have been for a
while. Cisco's fibre backed power injectors have been quite useful for
us, getting connectivity where we want

We've been using some trango devices (can't remember the model) for a point to
multipoint bridge for a couple years now. Honestly I can't remember ever having
to touch them after putting them in place.
