We used locks on the cable connectors so students would not mess with them. We also used jack blockout devices to prevent users from connecting to the wrong port

Hello Alan,     My group recently added Wall Plate AP's to an entire dorm. We had a similar issue with old cable TV Coax that supplied TV to the dorms.  Rather than abandon or remove it entirely we mounted bulkheads into the side of the boxes that allowed coax connections from the side while
