We have had the need for discrete enclosures for our access points also. We
have been required to make either the enclosure or the AP black in many
locations.
As a word of caution
voids the lifetime warranty.

Cisco explicitly permits painting their patch antennae, they state the
acceptable types of paint in their documentation. We've had to do this
before. It works, sorta...
