Small update: I have reproduced the bug in my new VM. Actually the process
doesn't hang. It shows up when it's fired up, but then exits. The hang is

Looking deeper into the bug, I figured out that it could be not a bug.
It seems to me that the extcap detaches from the current console, so it prints
the prompt before the actual
