I just enabled code in capture_loop.c which allows capturing from named
pipes under Windows, e.g. "tshark -i \\.\pipe\capture" Can someone else
test the change and verify that it works on their system?

No, not really.
It *may* help to create a

I am writing my own dissector for a TLV format, where generally the
value is a integer.
So all I currently print is a TAG , its LENGTH (in decimal) and VALUE
(in HEX).
One of the tags is a bit-map of valid ports. Hence the value is really a
port indicator, where each bit
corresponds to a port.
Hi Comunity,
for traffic post analysis I used crontab to start dumpcap every 10
minutes and the options "-w $date$outname -a duration:600".
The problem is, that if there is noch traffic on the wire, the process
will never be closed and hangs till it sees some IP-Packets.
This causes the machine to
Hello,
Attached is a wireshark patch that adds support for decoding DHCP option 125
and the DHCP option 125 suboptions defined by the DSL Forum's TR-111

using the DHCP option 125.

Hello,
I want to submit a first prototype version of a OpcUa protocol dissector
plugin.
Unfortunately I have a strange problem creating a patch.
I'm using tortoise SVN, right clicking on the folder "plugins" and using
"Create Patch".
The resulting patch file contains every file in the subfolder "
Hi Anders,
it has been completely implemented by a student of mine. I was
testing it
and did not want to commit it before the 0.99.5 release.
I'll commit it later today to the svn.
Please let me know if you find any bugs.
Best regards
Michael

Hi Everyone,
As I have not heard from anyone about this, I assume no one has looked
at the patch or taken any action on it.
I would like to withdraw this patch as I found some issues in certain
scenarios. I will try to improve the handling in these scenarios and
re-submit if and when possible.

Hello,
This build is not working under Windows 2000 because of cmd.exe.
I found a solution in using the cmd.exe from windows XP ; and running
the SetEnv.Cmd with the /2000 parameter.
I hope that could help someone.
