Thanks Guess it might be time for the annual review of the metatags. I was
hoping to save it for 5.0

I am a bit boggled by something. Dreamweaver 4 displays my tmls in preview
mode just fine. But Dreamweaver MX will only allow me to view tmls in source
code mode. The buttons for the preview modes are actually greyed out. Any
ideas?
On a mac here by the way,

Looks like you are trying to access a password protected URL which <@URL>
does not support according to the docs. If I take you code a substitute an
another URL not protected it works fine.

Hi John,
Using Excel as a DSN is painfully slow! It's beter to import it into Access.
Also, if you just have an Excel Worksheet, you won't be able to see the
columns and tables through the ODBC. It has to be a Workbook.

I'm sending an URL with <@URL>. It works and is proper if I just paste it in the
browser window. However, when I use it in the <@URL> metatag, I get the URL returned,
followed by the ": malformed URL" message.
I've tried encoding="none". I've tried converting the "&" to "&". I've tried

Use the FORMAT attribute.
Use the FORMAT attribute. It would probably look like <@VAR NAME=MyDate
FORMAT="datetime:%m">.
Hope this helps,

It has been painfully quiet since shortly after the April conference

John,
I've used the Excel ODBC driver in the past to import some data -- i.e. just
a one-off. It is slow, but does the job.
Of course, you need to have the appropriate Office components installed on
the server and set the Deployment path to the data to somewhere the server
can see.
