I have had tremendous problems throughout my past applications with numerous developers using scopes and then the variables showing up in different applications.    I have decided to use custom scopes and understand the assignment of such items just fine.  I am curious though, I thought

One possibility to check into is to make sure that there is a CFLF at the end of the line in your crontab file. It won't work otherwise. Stefan At 03:17 PM 10/4/2002 +, you wrote: >Thanks for all the ideas. I sent the httpcmd and wget >ideas off to out NT admin, and will shelve my attempts

We use a windows version of cron installed as a service on NT 4. Then I use wget to hit an web page. Both cron and wget are free. If you're on Win2K, task scheduler might be a better cron solution. Never tried it myself. Mike Erik Kulvinskas wrote: > > I use a DOS command line http client t

Hi, You can also use Wget. Like httpcmd, it is a command line file/URL retriever. Unlike httpcmd, Wget also works with FTP sites and can operate on them recursively. It's worked great for me. The main Wget site is http://wget.sunsite.dk/. Eric At 08:55 AM 10/4/2002, you wrote: >I use a DOS

I use a DOS command line http client tool called httpcmd and it works excellent with the task scheduler in 2000. It'll popup a DOS window when it does its work but shuts it down when its done. I started using it when the WiTango cron process would fail randomly. I think it comes in the Windows Se

I think you are right, the problem is with the url. I have tried the ip address of the machine. I noticed in the example given in the user guide that 127.0.0.1 is used, which is the same as localhost. Problem is, the taf runs fine in the browser window as http://localhost/cronmail.taf. Do

If you have a log file that is recording the times the crontab runs and you have confirmed it is operating correctly, then the problem is surely the URL - can't you use the ip address of the machine: ie if the ip is 192.168.1.10 then use http://192.168.1.20/scripts/t4cgi.ext Maybe your scripts
