This is kinda embarrassing. After years of using many different iterations of Tango/Witango on Macs using WebStar I am now faced with running Apache. And I can't get it working! I'm using an old MacMini (Intel) with 10.6. Apparently Apache is loaded by default and all you have to do is turn on

Open the Console application (/Applications/Utilities/Console) Look at the console messages searching for Apache... If there's an issue you'll see a message. Usually when I have an Apache issue, it's because of an problem with the httpd.conf file. If that's the case, the Console will tell you.

That's not a good thing. Sounds weird, but try updating the OS (currently according to your console, it's at 10.6.6, not 10.6). There are security fixes affecting Apache, and this may overwrite anything corrupted. Failing that, was there anything that you tweaked in the Apache system before th

I'm not sure if you gave all this info. 1. Was this the Apache Version that came with the Mini? I thought you said yes, and if so and this is a new one, Apple should support it. 2. If this is not a new mini, is it an intel or pc one and I've had to strip out 64 bit code to get Apache to run on

32-bit extensions were definitely a problem with the Witango 5.5 plug-in on Leopard (10.5+, Apache2). This could be solved by converting httpd to the 32 bit version. While this also solved the issue of Apache2 starting up for Witango 5.5 under Snow Leopard (10.6+), Witango itself would not run

Spot on Robert. I reinstalled OSX Leopard/Snow Leopard and confirmed that Apache was running. I then installed Witango and found that Apache was no running. I then uninstalled Witango using the Uninstall app and restarted Apache in verbose mode (httpd -V). It reports Architecture: 32 bit. Wayn
