Hi all,
I'm doing a pro bono site for a battered women's shelter, and the site
has a few tricky requirements that I need some help with:
1) We want to implement an "emergency" button. The user would be able
to click this button if her husband or boyfriend suddenly enters the
room. The button would immediately hide the screen. Kind of like a
"boss" button, but needs to be absolutely fool-proof and very, very
fast (immediate). Any ideas on how to implement that? I'm thinking
something like a hidden div that would be full screen, and maybe load
Google or some other innocuous site in an iframe into the div. Then ,
if the panic button is pressed, just make the div appear. I haven't
tried this, though.
2) Is there any way at all to prevent a site from being listed in the
browser's history? I could use window.location.replace for all links,
but that would still leave one entry in the history, right?
Any assistance would be greatly, greatly appreciated. Thanks!
