I'm using WIX to create an application MSI. My application creates
certain custom file types and I need to register it as the program to
open this file extension with. Looking at the WIX tutorial, I added the
following lines to my .wxs file:
ProgId Id='Extension1'
It depends on what build you're using. I recently checked in a fix (a couple
of weeks ago) where some property changes would not mark the project as
dirty, so they wouldn't save. I think things should be working now, though.
Let me know if you find that you're still having problems with changes
