I have a need to install a service using the NT AUTHORITY\LocalService account. If I do not specify an account name, the service installs properly underneath the LocalSystem account. However, if I specify the LocalService account (with or without password which is supposed to be ignored by the subsystem) the service installation fails and I am prompted to roll back the installation.
Is there some trick to using the LocalService account? I would like to use this account because I would like to restrict the permissions of the account the service runs underneath in order to enhance security.
