Hi,
I have a problem with my patching mechanism in WIX.
The problem is,
There were some manual patches given to the customer. i.e to
manually copy the config and executable files
Now when they apply the patch made by WIX technology, this patch
is not copying the manually replaced files.
But applying patch is successful.
How do I fix this issue?
And I was reading a couple of blogs on MSI, saying file versioning
might help.
Currently the log file shows that the files are unversioned.
How do I give a version to a file component? The DefaultVersion
option did not work for me.
