tried to look for a solution to be able to use nm-applet with
WindowMaker and found a dead link on windowmaker.org

So where to get 'wmsystemtray' ? And how to use it ?

Paul Seelig has a deb of the 64-bit wmsystemtray available here:

I don't know if that will help you or not - but that's all I can offer at the

Okay - it looks as though there's an rpm here:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/3/srodzaj/2/search/wmsystemtray-1.2-7.1.src.rpm
And the Debian source code is available here:
