Freddie’s Dead?

Remember ABC News Fred?

Well it seems ABC News Live is their attempt to try a 24/7 news channel. I
discovered it when my cat The Dude bounced on my Roku remote a few times. I’ve
watched about an hour and a half of it. About 6:45 PST to 8:15 PM and it
sucked! Saw a “live” feature from Hollywood on the premiere of Frozen 2 about
3 times. Same segment obviously recorded this afternoon. Probably about 25
minutes of ABC news and GMA promos, A 10 minute chunk of World News Tonight,
various filler features, some repeated a few times, A short headline news
segment called The Latest, which has run 3 times with no changes, and a
NightLine segment from 3 weeks ago. Seems very unstructured, but maybe it’s
better during the day? But the really push the 24/7 streaming aspect…

Sigh

Rych…

… in which Russian president Boris Yeltsin announces his resignation and
appoints some unknown named Vladimir Putin. Talk about foreshadowing…

Also the first segment of ABC's 2000 coverage, featuring Peter Jennings.
