It's just that you lose any semantic value in using a table without
the . Using the table with currently limits your layout
options.
Using means you can retain a bit of semantic meaning (by linking
the name, icon and info at least) and get your styling right.

A definition list would be the best way to represent such data.
Can even be styled in the tabular layout in your example.
