Hello All,
During the release of WSJTX-1.5-RC1, I missed the commits from Joe and
Bill that changed the WSJTX (devel) & (exp) branch and version numbers.
As a result, the output directories and some (most) of the on screen
messaging was wrong for WSJTX builds. I believe both systems sorted out
Hi Bill,
I'm glad you posted that, as I missed that change completely in the
shuffle. Will get things sorted around this evening.

Hi All,
just to clarify a bit. I think Greg is referring to v1.6 as Joe's
experimental branch and v1.5 as development. That is old news as of
Yesterday ;)
We have branched v1.5 which is now frozen for enhancements and out for
beta testers to try and break it.
The development branch ^/branches
Hi David,
Ok, no worries. As Bill said, v1.6 is going through "allot" of change,
so things may work one day and not the next.
I'd hang with v1.5 for until things settle out a bit in v1.6

OK, I have tracked down the main issue with this PTT problem. You can
work around it for now by c

Hi Gents,
I appear to have a problem with this latest version regarding the PTT. I
don't have any!
I am not using CAT control. The transceiver uses a hard-wired PTT from
the RTS pins to a real com port i.e. no USB adapters
My PTT settings have worked on all previous versions (1.4, 1.5 and 1.6)
Hello Joe,
It would be quite nice to have WSPR integrated in WSJT-X. However, I think
we should try to preserve modularity as much as possible (high cohesion and
low coupling in Object Oriented Programming semantics). Separating the GUI
from the audio threads, rig control and the various decoders.
The real time waterfall is a big help when running a mode like WSPR-15 which
is still being used by the lowfer experimenters testing transatlantic
propagation. I welcome any development of consolidating the various programs
into one.

Hi Joe,
FWIW, I think this is a good Idea. I addition to the Hamlib updates, I
would think the Qt Audio subsystem would also be of benefit.
I like Python, but keeping the tool-chains and frameworks similar would
surely be a plus and may even draw more developers to the project(s).
There seems

Hi John,
Many thanks for sharing your interesting results on processing time
returned by the wsprnet.org server!
Your recent work with WSPR-X has prodded me to think again about
possible future developments of WSPR. I'm presently leaning toward
exploring the possibility of including WSPR as a
