You’re right, RC3 has only been out since around the 16th, when I installed it,
but I’ve been on FT8 only for months. For the week or so I’ve used it I hadn’t
had the error until yesterday.

I don't think there is that much of a connection between asciidoc and
hamlib, I searched in Google "does hamlib use asciidoc" and all the
results that appeared were people having build issues with old

The FT8 error only arrived with rc3 - which has not been available “for
months”. I suspect that you changed from rc2 to rc3.
