Hi jim,
You could try widest possible Q65 e.g. Q65-15C, Q65-30D or Q65-60E to fight
wide Doppler spread. Of course you need a sked!

Hi Jim,
We haven’t had good AU here for 3 years. So, I have no experience with FT8 on
AU. However, the fluctuations of AU may mess up FT8 decoding. CW and SSB may
still be the best bet.

I'm seeing news stories saying aurora visibility is predicted farther
south than usual. I worked AU on CW from Chicago and WV, but have never
heard it here, 70 miles S of San Francisco. Would any WSJT modes be useful?

Hi Bill-
While I couldn’t get WSJT-X app to launch using gfortran 11 on Intel, I did
manage to get the jt9 sub program working, I only tested FT8. It’s a shame the
opposite is true for Apple M1 (where the main app works but jt9 exe crashes).

Hi there,
Building for MacOS X is fairly straightforward. I would recommend using Brew

Intel with the latest version of gfortran (11) and the app won’t launch, it

Good evening
I am trying to build WSJTX on OSX running Big Sur and Xcode 13 when I attempt
to install using the normal command to install the required libs from MacPorts
is fails telling me there is a problem with libgcc7
Am I ok to use gcc10 as I think gcc5 is quite out of date now and may n
