For those having problems on Kenwood rigs try the two different Handshake
settings for Hardware and None and see if one of them works.
I did change the TS-2000 to use Hardware based on testing another TS-2000.
Part of this may depend on what kind of RS232 cable you have if 3-wire or
5-wire.

Hi Joop,
What a pleasure, to see your callsign after so many years!
I use WSJT-X 2.7.0-RC5 with a TS-2000 at W2PU, without problems.
Use File -> Open log directory, and send me a copy of your file
wsjtx.ini. I might be able to diagnose your problem from here.

Hi Uwe and all
I remember a fix that restored TS2000 functionality, and this is worked for
me, but I think it only worked if handshake was set to none. I don't have a
TS2000 - using SDRC which emulates it.

If needed I have a Kenwood TS-2000 at home I can setup and try. I haven't
used it with WSJT-X but I have DigiRig I can connect and test.

Hi Joop,
Glad to hear it is working now with the older Hamlib file. However, it is
important for us that the root cause of such Hamlib errors is found and
fixed. Therefore, please be so kind as to proceed like Mike explained.
Record such event log files with both Hamlib versions, the one that wor
Hi Friends,
Many thanks for some good and fast replies with ideas to my question.
Now version 2.7.0 rc5 is working fine with a previous libhamlib-4.dll
that was installed by version 2.6.1 ( I suppose).
I simply copied the olderv2.6.1 libhamlib-4.dll (dated 2023-JAN-10) into
the new directory
Please generate a debug log with both.
I need to see what's going on with these kenwood rigs.
#1 Generate a log with the new version.
#2 Copy the libhamlib-4.dll from the 2.6.1 directory to the 2.7.5 directory
#3 Generate a log with the old version.
#4 Send me both logs.

Hi Charlie
Thank you for ur fast reaction, meanwhile I got a few more offers yet to
help me :-)
Yes, version 2.6.1 is still working flawless since a long time in an
other directory, so I have 2.6.1 and 2.7.0 both available.
I was suspecting the new hamlib.dll and if you could tell me how to

Hi Joop
Do you still have 2.6.1 working?
If its a Hamlib issue, you can replace the hamlib .dll file that was
generated with the new installation with the one that is in the 2.6.1
installation.
Can provide details of how to do this.

Bjorn,
I had the same thought, however, perhaps they are worried about spectrum
pollution, since SuperFox is 1.5 kHz wide all the time.
Additionally, some of the variants would not include the spectrum lockout
(don't run SuperFox on standard freq), as MSHV is famous for. They have a
