Don, I was also wondering about logging in a mixed-mode contest. In RTTY
roundup, if I'm using FT8 and RTTY I'd like to know dupes based on any
contact mode. I set things up last night with that in mind. In JT alert, I
turned off logging to DX keeper, and started a new ADI file. That way JT
alert would tell me if a station was new in the contest, and not check it
against prior contacts in the past (I think). I also set N1MM to get UDP
broadcasts from JTalert, so that each contact would be logged into a new
contest log in N1MM. I made a few contacts last night with the new WSJT-X
RC and it worked without a hitch. N1MM would then recognize dupes from
prior FT8 or RTTY contacts, and be the master log for the contest. Not
sure how to recognize a prior RTTY contact back on the FT8 side, though.

If I can make the FT8 roundup tonight, this is the setup I'm going to try.

I have some questions in trying to set up for tomorrow night's FT8 Roundup test.
1. Will the QSO get logged automatically to the Cabrillo file or will
I have to manually log it? Typically is use JTAlert to log into
DXKeeper but I don't think I want to do that for a contest. It seems
the QSO should be logged automatically.
2. If the QSO is logged automatically, is there any indication the QSO
has been logged to the Cabrillo file?
3. I don't see a color set up for stations already worked on a band.
How do you know if a station is a dupe... because it's not colored
coded at all?
4. Should wsjt_log.adi be cleared before the contest? Is that the file
that determines how calls are color coded?

Thanks,
Don AA5AU
