In anticipation of seeing callsigns with /150 added for the ARRL sponsored
Hiram Percy Maxim Birthday Celebration, how will this affect FT4 & FT8
operations and especially the upcoming WW Digi Contest?
I see this in the WSJT-X online help file "Compound callsigns like xx/K1ABC or

I second this recommendation. I also use my phone (and tablet) to work FT8
remotely with Real VNC. WSJT-X is great when viewed on the tablet but not so
great on the phone with the smaller screen. The changes Rich asks for certainly
would help.

Grant's suggested frequencies make sense to me. I would support his
recommendations.

A word if I may about frequency choices. Some of those proposed for FT4
probably leave a bit to be desired. Here
CQ TEST can be accomplished in WSJT-X by simply changing the CQ message to CQ
TEST AA5AU EL49. It can be done in the RTTY Roundup contest mode because at
least one person I know did it.

I agree. I was thinking that after the DXpeditions slowed down that I would
just reset the frequency list to default.
Problem is the DXpeditions keep coming!
Making default frequencies bold type so they can be easily found when scrolling
through the list would be a nice addition.

I've not run MSHV or JTDX on FT8 yet. My preference is WSJT-X so I don't know
how to spot a DX station running one of these clones. Is there a way to tell
what the DX station is using (when using multiple streams)?
Today I had a difficult time working 5T5PA. Nearly all spots said he was

Kind of looks like you might have the notch filter enabled on your radio?

A new group has been formed where we can discuss RTTY and/or FT8 or any other
form of digital DXing or contesting. This should help lighten the load on the
RTTY, WSJT, and WSJT Software Development groups.

I think it would be great if you would come up with a "good" hour for a
practice session in your part of the world and announce it. It just practice
and we all could benefit from that.

Install RC4 in a different folder than RC3. This way you can run either one. I
did that and it seems to work. I'll have to figure out how to run a second
instance of RC4 for my 2nd radio but I still have my notes on how to do it so
should be an issue. I'll report if there is.

rc4 working well but it's getting crowded above 2000 hz on 20 meters now. Guess
that's a good thing. No problems yet.
Let us know when you think there is enough crossover to support running a RTTY
Roundup test.

I have some questions in trying to set up for tomorrow night's FT8 Roundup test.
1. Will the QSO get logged automatically to the Cabrillo file or will I have to
manually log it? Typically is use JTAlert to log into DXKeeper but I don't
think I want to do that for a contest. It seems the QSO
it for the ARRL RTTY
Roundup. An FT8 contest, with ARRL RTTY Roundup rules, in December could be a
way to test the setup before January's contest.
I just wanted to see how it's done.
Has there been any discussion as to what frequencies would be good for FT8
contesting on HF?
Thanks!Don AA5AU

How is a Cabrillo log generated in this version?
When do you expect Cabrillo output to be full-featured?

Is there a way to differentiate the difference between FT8 and FT8Call signals
just by looking at them on the waterfall? I did notice that possibly the
signals I was not decoding didn't seem to have the same "cycle" time as FT8
