Many people snag old tablet computers for portable use, so I am going to
conjecture that there are a good number that do not support AVX out there.
Even the new(-ish) Surface Go 2 has a Pentium Gold processor without AVX.
(Note: Pentium and Celeron processors based off the Tiger Lake have AVX2

"File->Open log directory" opens
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\WSJT-X
and not
C:\Users\\AppData\Local\WSJT-X\logs
and all the logs are written to the first directory and not the logs
directory. Logs directory is empty.
Is this expected behavior?

understanding that they *can* use the code.
I don't see anything in the GPL license that covers seperate rights for
alpha, beta, candidate, or final releases of code.

I have been digesting the "The FT4 and FT8 Communication Protocols"
paper, and something is just not clicking for me, and I think I need
to see it graphically.
Does anyone have or a link to a raw packet diagram for the 77 bit
payload broken down by bits? My Google-fu is not paying off today.
