It appears to me that 240712 included a hamlib (2024-07-10) that
dropped or busted the recently included Flex cat function bypassing SSDR
CAT and providing by slice rigs.
Replacing hamlib with 2024-06-30 restored the function.

This is using the Flex API to communicate directly to the radio with out
the need to use SSDR CAT.
( SSDR CAT provides translation from CAT commands to Flex API. ) Each
hamlib 'Slice X' has a different API commands that are slice specific.
And they all ( indeed all api's ) go through the radio
