On my TS590S, testing at low power into a dummy load, while in Tx the rig ignores trying to change the band using the front panel, although I can vary the frequency within the selected band. With WSJT-X transmitting stops immediately if I try to change bands, and it's apparently the audio driv

Hi Uwe, My question was from ignorance. I did not want to test my equipment to find out. But if the problem could happen, somewhere someone will experience it. Perhaps the coders already took care of the hazard, but then I thought i would ask. --73, Glenn, AF8C On 6/2/2024 11:21 AM, Uwe, D

Hi Glenn, When shifting the focus to a particular object on the screen, that object will then receive any inadvertent mouse operation such as done by the wheel or button. An inadvertent press on the space bar or the Enter key would simply stop the TX. Rolling the mouse wheel would have no effect.

Fellow operators, For those of us who have or will have Essential Tremor we might be sliding the mouse too far to the left. (At least I don't have a serious tremor yet.) So how is moving the focus going to prevent accidents? Also there could be someone operating /M (not driving) while acting

I think the PTT off is already built into WSJT-X.  But it was not built into hamlib so now it's double-protection. I did test it and I was able to change bands while transmitting using just Hamlib. Mike W9MDB On Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 10:27:27 AM CDT, Uwe, DG2YCB via wsjt-devel wrote

Hi Glenn, One question: Are your considerations theoretical or have you actually found that you stay transmitting when you make a such band change? Because I have just tried to reproduce this. Result: WSJT-X stopped transmitting immediately when I changed the band during transmission. 73 de DG2Y
