if I watch the Yahoo group or even FaceBook groups - there are many
'plug-and-play' hams using WSJT-X with all kind of startup problems.
They have no clue, where the saved files are. WSJT-X will silently
fill up their HD space, because they have set save to 'None' ;-)

FYI
I have set save/None and I just checked my save folder. There are 265
files taking 93Mb size.
Oldest file was 2018-04-11 that is quite near the time I last manually
cleaned the folder.
I'm not "heavy user", so I think this amount is reasonable.
Now it depends what we call tiny amount
Updated to check if files exist and ask permission to delete if the new menu
item is checked. So no prompt if files are gone.

I would agree it's not a "pressing" need.
But when's the last time we had a decoder crash like that? As opposed to all
the other WSJT-X crashes that leave files behind?
Maybe we check to see if any files are left and ask when that menu option is
enabled?
