Hi,
My participation in the "2230-2300 UTC, Friday, 5 January - FT8 focus" session went very very smoothly and I was able to complete 10 QSO in little above 30 mins on 40 m. Some observations (all positive) : * received one popup dialog with an "Invalid Rcvd Exch" for a station replying with the standard R-01 FT8 report instead of the 5xx reply. * received this reply "230945 13 0.3 2200 ~ ON4PB HH2AA R 539 4802". The value of 4802 as a sequence number cannot be entered on the keyboard, but can only be set by spinning the up/down control. I am not sure if this value was used on purpose. And maybe a functional suggestion for handling the colouring of new calls, continents, zones, grids, .. during contests : instead of renaming the wsjtx_log.adi file at the start of the contest, why not introduce a lifetime concept in the Settings / Colors tab ? One global "Since" date & time field could be set to a far away date in the past for normal operation or could be set to the date & time of the start of the contest to pick up fresh values. Resetting the field at the end of the contest would then be unharmful for the complete QSO history. This would be an easy way for checking for dupes during the contest ? With warm regards from Belgium, 73's Erik ON4PB.
