Hello, I have a suggestion. I am using a loop antenna (indoors for now, to add insult to injury) and it needs retuning whenever y change frequency.
What I do is to reduce power to the minimum, press the program's tune button, raise power to around 5 W and use that to tune the loop. The transmitter power I use is around 20 W (bear in mind that a MFJ 1788 mounted indoors is not especially efficient). It would be really useful (and I think that it could encourage more respectful practice) to have an option to preset the "tune" level to a fixed power level. I know that "tune" here has two different meanings but it could be useful anyway. The setting would be optional, with the tune button working as usual unless a preset level is selected in the preferences, and maybe it would be a good idea to override it in case the user moves the output power slider when tuning.
