I definitely understand the motivation for the performance fix. But the
result is a regression from WTP 1.0: we now have a project node visible
by default.
Could we revert the perf fix (or hide the node by default) in the 1.5
stream?

Yes, I had the same observation as you, Kaloyan: this is a regression,
though I understand the performance issue it was trying to fix. We're
hoping to get a patch created for WTP 1.5.4 to have this pseudo-project
filtered by default.
