Hello Jeremy,
can dialogs be used with XRC files?
I can see that you can design them in WxFormBuilder but I cannot see how
one "calls" them out of an XRC file.
There seems to be only "frame" as a Top-Level Window.

Hi all,
this seems to be a known bug, it's documented in the ghc bug list, has
been for a while ...

Hi Guenther,
[x-posting to wxhaskell-devel, in case any of the other committers has a
clue...]

I didn't read any of those even once, so I can't tell you. Sorry.
Cheers :)

Hello,
I could find out how to load a dialog. Frames and other controls yes,
but no clue on loading dialogs.

Hi all,
now I ran into my next problem.
I managed to cabal-install wxWidgets on WinXP last night.
Now something strange happens when I test via ghci or runghc:
could not find stdc++ dll
Now I did copy the wxmsu ... dll into the path ie. C:\windows\system32
and when I run the compiled p
Hi all,
thanks to Gour I found the examples and the accompanying .hs files. From
there I could see how to do it.
I acknowledge there will be issues using XRC files, but for now it's a
rather big relief to coding everything by hand, I just couldn't get it
right, pain in the ...
Thanks to all

I can't comment on anything other than wx, but you might find this
(recently started, and thus up-to-date and active) blog interesting -
it discusses custom widget creation using
Hi Gour, I think I was in the same situation as yourself when I begun
the development of my project, λPage, and what I did was simply dive
into wxHaskell without any previous reading.
Some tools were very useful to me (and they still are):

Hiya!
I'm interested what do you recommend for learning wxhaskell for
someone who does not 'speak well' C++: using e.g. wxpython
docs/literature or official C++ doc and/or wxWidgets book (until we
get complete docs for wxhaskell) ?
Sincerely,
Gour
