If you launch the client from the commandline you can add a -debug flag and
get some output to help troubleshoot. You can also up the log level on the
server.

I've never left an individual session connected for more then a day and I
frequently drop the connection after afew hours. Everything should

The length of the x2go mount point spoils the output of 'df -m' such that it's
almost unusable, so, can it be shortened?
Here's what I get (on an 80 column screen) when I run 'df -m' :-
