It’s giving me a error 51 (The connection with the server was shut down) on the
client end. When I look on the server after getting kicked out with an error
51, there is no session running.

Well, I do see any java related hint in the log. Is the session really
crashing or just disconnecting?
What's your version of nxagent on the server?

The behavior we've seen this with are Matlab and Libre Office. The error log
