Great! I can confirm this build now works and authenticates perfectly on my
windows 8.1. (with pageant auth)

0.5.0.3. So I will not be making any new 0.5.0.3 builds.
I did manage to fix the bug with Pageant authentication (bug #767)
after 0.5.0.4 was released.
