I ran ./bootstrap.sh, ./configure, and then edited, and ran the
get-maptools.sh script.
Now, when I run make, I get a file not found error.

Debian based users will need Alien to convert the RPM to a .deb package,
but it works, or did for me two years ago.
And with all the cvs BS I'm going through, LSB looks like a good
alternative, knock, knock.
Though I can't blame cvs, my problems are probably loose nu
stab file gives me a dozen kernels to boot from, but the
one I downloaded via synaptic, isn't one of them.
This box is AFU, and I'm putting her down.

things, or did the package repos change, or both?
I'm putting this install down, and re-installing Ubuntu from scratch.
I'll get all of my hard drive back, clean up fstab, and start off from a
clean slate.

And beware, turning off the rig only kills power to the display, the rig
is still hot. Connecting and disconnecting the control head, with the
rig wired to a power source can do bad things.
