I think it's only the voice output at the station end, for fun - not tx'd data and (although I've not got CVS update to prove it). I expect its something you turn-on rather than have to turn off. Perhaps the CBers have APRS now? you could play on there if you want to do that? missed point error

I don't want to confuse things - but would you try this to show if anything is sitting on ttyS0 (it might be something you ran earlier. From a terminal screen type this and enter.. sudo ps -aux | grep ttyS0 there should be a list - perhaps copy and paste that into a message (ignore the

A bit of thinking.. This may belong in an APRS listserv but I was thinking how Xastir could be expanded and noticed a Linux RFID project on Sourcefoge - This made me wonder if we could localise situation data by linking up rfid devices to aprs by some box that translated rfid data to aprs

[Xastir] Demo'ing Xastir

I'm hoping to demo Xastir at our local Hamfest in September - I thought about how to do it - the location of the hamfest is quite possibly the worst radio location in this area (worse than mine and that's saying something (for V/UHF) - so an RF feed maybe useless - I looked for an alternative..
