My ATI video card died, fan quit, so I installed my spare which is an Nvidia. I now have the dreaded "cigar" when I click on "Interface" and can't get rid of it. How was that resolved in the past? Murry VE9MB ___ X

I had the problem of the cigars in Xastir until I went to the "Restricted Drivers Manager" and let it install the restricted drivers for my ATI card and all was well thereafter. I use Linux Mint, but that should also be available in Ubuntu. Mur

Can someone help with online maps please. When I go to the map chooser and select either; Canada Topo 250k.geo or Canada Topo 50k.geo or TX Radar.geo or US Radar.geo or WMS Radar.geo I don't get any maps. If I select any of the terraserver items I get a black screen. Murry

Sorry about the previous email return address. For some reason it defaulted to my wifes email. I have the timing up as far as it will go, I don't see any activity on my dsl modem when I try to get Canada topo maps. The Tigermaps work fine.
