In particular, is it "/opt/local", or "/opt"?

I already communicated this with Curt, the mapcaching/db42 issue was a
typo... I did find that I can only get map-caching on PPC (have not yet
tried MacTel) with the Fink version of db42.
I look forward to digesting Dan Brown's excellent notes on the subject.
Thanks!

Sammamish just got power/internet back and we are working to clean up our
messy home - no phones, power or internet for last 64 hours... What a mess
in the Pacific Northwest!!!
I'll post an updated xastir build report later tonight.

I think what is happening in your case is this:
configure.ac/acinclude.m4 look in the standard places. Not found.
To cover the special case of OSX/Fink, we then look in /sw. Not
found.
We don't do cover the other special case, looking in /opt. I
suspect that's where you have some things inst

I took a look at the PPC side of OS X and have the following notes.
Summary
GOOD - xastir now picks up ImageMagick on OS X PPC without hacking the
configure script.
GOOD - xastir built with ImageMagick appears to boot/run correctly
GOOD - --with-rtree enables rtree indexing
BAD - configure will re
I'll give OS X a try on both PPC and MacTel (Intel) as well as FreeBSD 6.1.
I'll have to wait until tonight to do MacTel and FreeBSD (x86) - that is if
we have power and internet at that point...

Beginning and middle of each month, so yea, probably tomorrow. This
one will have the segfault fix that was implemented early last week
too, so it should be a good one to update to.

So, Curt,
Does this mean a new "Xastir-Devel" will be released soon?
Z
Great. Having it not break existing functionality is the first
step...

Please let us know how the autodetect of GraphicsMagick and/or
ImageMagick is working since yesterday's CVS changes. I'd
definitely like to hear if the autodetect is working properly on OSX
and other non-Linux systems.
Xastir will prefer GraphicsMagick over ImageMagick if both are
available. Ad
