having twisted my tail off trying to get internet maps to display, I may have
found out something, probabley documented before somwhere, but here goes.
GraphiscMagick may be broken in some versions as
gm display file results in this:
gm display: No decode

Well, the gurus (Curt et al.) may shun me but having used Xastir for
several years now, both on Linux and Cygwin, I have never had any luck
in getting GraphicsMagick or the recommended OpenMotif to work (compile

Just figured how to make my VNC display properly just now. Too HOT outside so
staying in the A/C and working on this stuff.
