0.95.0 and compile this ok. Follwed by a compile of xastir. The problem with
the menu texts still is there. So I wonder if we are really talking about
the same OpenMotif bug.

Well Ive biten the bullet and taken the advice. I am trying to compile
xastir on Slax. Some problems in the usual area with OpenMotif. I can
use a little util to convert Slackware packages to Slax modules which
might be handy at some point.
Ive tried to tacks with this so far.

and loaded Openmotif 2.3.0 for Slackw 12 and ImageMagick 6.3.3 also.
Xastir compiles and runs but has a strange problem that I have not seen
