Richard,
That sounds like a nice setup. I've never been able to get more than
2 monitors working well.
For fun this weekend I hooked up my Intel Mac Mini to my Maxent 50"
plasma and have it running at 1920 x 1080i. I had xastir running,
sat tracking software and browser window and there
Jason,
I know what it would look like - - - $$$ to the
utility! Unfortunately, 1600x1200 LCD's are not
commodity, let alone 1400x1050. If there was commodity
pricing available on the 1600's, I would jump at them.
Less power, less heat, clearer picture for these old
eyes.
It truly nice to behold

resolution. What would xastir look like at 11400 x 6000 resolution?

And I was hoping to have a single big system up for svr wx season. Now
I've gotta go rebuild the home system, add monitors, and convince my
wife I've not gone (further) nuts, just to keep up with Richard.
Where's it all gonna end?
OK, fine. I'm off to scavenge 15 in monitors from surplus. I
Curt,
I have four more blank PCI slots. The PCI cards are
$60.00 each. Monitors are somewhat available for the
taking. The idea is wonderful but horrid at the same
time. They are all running 1400x1050x24. I may back
off to 16 bit color just to unload the memory demands.
Time will tell.

Sweet! Someday maybe I'll get there too. Quite a few SW developers
here at work are running with dual screens. I have one 20" CRT and
