As I mentioned below Imagemagick is installed. To prove it go to the
help menu and about. At the bottom of the about window you will see
the libraries used when xastir was compiled.

You will need to download/build/install (e.g. make, sudo make install)
I am pretty sure that you need ImageMagick, but you might need
GraphicsMagick (check readme and/or run xastir
You should check the readme for the version of xastir that you downloaded
from N1OFZ's site to see if it is built with ImageMagick or GraphicsMagick
(I believe it uses ImageMagick). You will then want to install the
ImageMagick (or GraphicsMagick) port onto your OS X machine and restart
xastir.

If you're talking about the online TIGERmaps, the TIGER server
frequently gets bogged down. You may want to try increasing the
timeout (which I think is located in the .geo file).

It is my understanding from the OSX site that those are already all
included. Maybe I missed something? It says all the dependencies are
included. I understand that issue in reference to Linux, but I thougth
OSX was bundled with what was needed.
