In the xCAT manual it is mentioned that "NFS caching on the client helps
reduce the network traffic". Does anyone know where this is configured? I
can't find anything in the docs about it.

If you already have the mac address defined in the mac table for the
nodes, you can set both installnic and primarynic to "mac". This works
with 2.6 and 2.7, not sure about 2.5. But worth to try.
After the change, run makedhcp and nodeset, then boot up the node.
