The cluster is not hierarchical, if I understand your question.
Two management nodes, running RHEL 6.3, with DRBD and
Corosync/Pacmaker. DRBD does block sync between the two nodes to keep
the appropriate file systems in sync. DRBD creates links to all the
files that have to be kept in sync.

No, on failing node - /var/log/xcat doesn't exist and no errors for xcatd on
management node.
After the kickstart and reboot, it errors on /xcatpost/updateflag.awk (and
doesn't run any of the postscripts to complete the setup)

So could you describe you HA environment a little more fully and your
cluster. Is it hierarchical?What exactly were the errors on the
upgrade .
Did they follow one of these HA environments? For example are you using
Shared Disk between the Management nodes.

I have xCAT installed on our Idataplex cluster in an HA configuration.
The HA installation was done by IBM and has had it's issues constant
loss of xCAT data after a reboot.. Current version of xCAT is 2.7.8.

Give us an lsdef of one of the nodes that fails.
Many of the environment variables like MASTER come from the site table.
tabdump site and see if master is defined. It should be the ip or
hostname as known by the node you are installing.

Hi All.
I'm a new xcat user (please note this) and have run into an issue that's I'm
unsure how to resolve.
I've been rebuilding nodes successfully (upgrading to rhels6.5) and then for
one of the rebuilds I get the error:
