I think I understand that it is not going to work on HP nodes, either with ipmi or hpilo (from xcat documentation on HP nodes.) But now it doesn't work on Dell and IBM nodes either. We have xcat 2.8.4. No matter what I tried to put in nodehm table, I get this: [root@master ~]# getmacs node1107 no

Take a look at the /var/log/messages file in xCAT; it should have some clues. You can look in appendix B and appendix G for details on looking at the logs (pick either PDF, see first link below) It is probably getting an error back from SMAPI. I tries 5 times to get a minidisk. http://www.vm.ib

This is one area that I think I'll want to change in confluent. It would have nice to have packimage override if there is a password for a node and override if there is a password. The global nature of the passwd table makes that difficult. For now, what about: # diff -u packimage.pm packimage.
