2: is there any way to make it possible to use the ‘_’ in compute name in xCAT ?
I suggest you not use '_' in compute name, '_' is invalid, if you change makedns code to let `makedns -n

iirc, is the first one that did it for x86_64, so that or backporting it).
Then the firmware can tell the kernel how to use the serial port instead of
having to pass console= all the time.

I rebuilt the xcat server with CentOS 7.5 (and built images with that), and now
the drac console is working properly. In any case, to a first approximation, I
can deploy the cluster.

On another system on the network, could you try arping -I
10.52.96.36
That is dracut doing an arp before taking the address and erroring
because it senses it would conflict with some other server on the
network that is arp replying claiming that address in use already.
