I was assuming that the upgrade was xCAT upgrade and he was on mysql before
and after.
Did you use the mysqlsetup command in xCAT?

Fyi, i also had trouble migrating a 2.6 system to mysql...

restart xcatd.

DBD::mysql::db do failed: Duplicate column name 'key' at
/opt/xcat/lib/perl/xCAT/Table.pm line 1011.
updateschema: Running ALTER TABLE passwd ADD `key` VARCHAR(128)
Error adding col
